Cleaning/Sticker Removal

InserTec has a long history of book refurbishment experience including: sticker removal, re-jacketing, re-shrinkwrapping, and cover labeling. We are often asked to remove promotional or price labels that are dirty or outdated, and we have variety of methods that we use when removing stickers from books or other products and packaging.

When removing stickers from books we typically use a light-duty solvent that will not harm the books' aqueous or UV coating. This same method of solvent and handwork is effective on most plastic packaging and metal surfaces as well. We will use the most aggressive solvent that we can that is safe and will not damage the packaging or leave the packaging smelling of solvent.

When possible, we will also use heat tunnels to accelerate the process of removing the labels by hand. The enables us to handle large volume sticker removal jobs, and still meet our customers expectations of top quality. Most of our sticker removal services are in fact handwork with the aid of only conveyors and automated boxing or case-sealing equipment. Each product is visually inspected prior to re-boxing to ensure that there is no adhesive residue or damage to the product.

Typically we ask that you supply us with one or several samples of the book or product that you'd like the sticker or stickers removed from. We will use one or more of our time-tested methods to remove the stickers and return the samples to you for your approval.

In many cases we can offer you more than one sticker removal option to best accommodate both your timeline and your budget. Whenever possible, we will also suggest another; more attractive, or less costly service solution.
